Get on Your Bike and Ride the Mountains

In St. Anton, mountain biking is not just a way to get around: It’s a way of life. Mountain bikers from all over the world come to the Arlberg Mountains to tackle this fat-tire paradise and you can bet the area is home to an abundance of spectacular mountain bike trails. A wide variety of guided tours are available, or you can just cruise the mountain on your own. Favourite local tours include Tritsch Alpe, Putzenalpe, Rodelalm and Konstanzer Hut, to name but a few. And did you know that St. Anton is lying on the legendary Transalp Route, crossing the Alps from Germany to Italy? We are passionate mountain bikers ourselves and that’s why we can suggest a number of routes to capture the very best of the area.

Road Cycling: Speeding on Paved Roads

Not into the rocky road? With scenic and amazing road-biking routes all around St. Anton, you can get your fill of cycling no matter what the speed and what direction. There are miles of paved, flat roads for the more casual pedaler and scenic mountain pass routes for those wanting to burn up some extra energy: Across Arlberg Pass, over three mountain passes to Bregenz, along Silvretta High Alpine Road or atop Hahntenjoch Saddle. Sport Alber will help you get the gear and to the best places for heart-pumping activities with incredible mountain vistas.

Motorcycle Touring

The Tyrol is perfect motorcycle country and St. Anton is heaven on earth for motorcyclists: Enjoy amazing rides, from roads that span rock shelves and creekside tracks to high mountain passes and tree-lined loops.


Hiking: Summiting Lofty Peaks

Whether your goal is “summit or bust” up the side of a 3,000-meter peak or a lazy creekside amble, St. Anton has 300 of kilometers of way-marked hiking trails that are just your speed. Besides granting access to postcard-worthy views and fresh air, St. Anton’s hiking trails will lead you to mouth-watering, locally-sourced culinary delights: Hikers and sightseers can work up an appetite taking in the Alpine splendour before tucking into a delicious spread at one of the lovely on-mountain inns and restaurants.

Climbing: A Vertical Journey

Don't look down until you reach the top! With sheer rock faces and cliffs, demanding boulders and a varied via ferrata to choose from, you could spend weeks conquering the Climbers Paradise at St. Anton.

The thing you'll like about running in our beautiful surroundings ... is that you can set the start and finish line wherever you want. Excellent trails and routes lead around lovely Verwall Reservoir or take you from St. Anton to Schnann, along the banks of Rosanna River. Awesome trails begin outside our door and continue into some of the world’s most spectacular outdoor lands.
